Bigger than your typical smartphone but smaller than a laptop, tablets have completely transformed the way we work and play. Tablet screen dimensions are determined by taking a diagonal measurement from the screen's upper left corner to its lower right corner. The dimensions are usually expressed in inches and do not take the screen's border or "bezels" into account.

It's important to note that 'tablet size' and 'tablet screen size' are not synonymous. Tablet size refers to the device's length, width, and height rather than the diagonal size used to measure the screen. While there is no 'standard' tablet screen size because manufacturers produce them differently, most mid-sized tablets are somewhere between 9 and 11 inches in screen size. The smallest tablets range from 7 to 8 inches, while the largest and most spectacular versions span from 12 to 14 inches.

With that being said, you don't need to take out a ruler and measure your tablet's screen size. Simply locate the model number of your device, and you should be able to search for its specifications.

For Android tablets, you can see this information on the Settings menu. For iPad users, you'll find it in "General" and then the "About" section. From there, simply look up your model number on Google, and you'll find everything you need to know.
