The email, calendar and contact functionalities in Google Workspace can be migrated to Microsoft 365. There are several migration methods to choose from, including automated and manual, and the migration can be done in stages, with a certain batch of users at a time. Certain prerequisites must be completed before the migration, such as ensuring that your Microsoft 365 domain is verified and creating subdomains for mail routing to Microsoft 365

There are three types of Microsoft 365 migration, they are:

• Cutover migration — With cutover, all mailboxes are migrated at once. This type of migration should be used with Exchange 2003, Exchange 2007, Exchange 2010 and Exchange 2013, and if there are less than 2000 mailboxes to be migrated.
• Staged migration — With a staged migration, mailboxes are migrated in batches. This type of migration should be used with Exchange 2003 and Exchange 2007, and if there are more than 2000 mailboxes to be migrated.
• Hybrid migration — A hybrid migration uses an integrated Exchange Server and Microsoft 365 and can be used to maintain both onsite and online mailboxes, to gradually migrate email and users to Microsoft 365. This migration type should be used with Exchange 2010 under certain circumstances and Exchange 2013 or later.

With a Microsoft 365 IMAP migration, only the user’s email is migrated. Contacts, tasks and calendar items need to be migrated manually by the individual user.

To transfer your existing business emails to Microsoft 365, you’ll need to undertake a migration process. The Microsoft 365 email migration process will vary depending on your existing email provider.

Each of the business plans supports up to 300 users. These are Microsoft 365 Business Basic, Microsoft 365 Apps for business, Microsoft 365 Business Standard, and Microsoft 365 Business Premium.

Businesses with more than 300 users need to subscribe to an enterprise subscription. There are currently three different enterprise plans, ranging in price from approximately $11.00 to $78.00 per month. These include Microsoft 365 F3, Microsoft 365 E3, and Microsoft 365 E5.
